Happy Birthday Mom & Visiting Teaching!

Today is my wonderful mother's birthday! I won't say how old she is because I don't want to receive the wrath later! Haha just kidding. Anyways, I just wanted to wish her a happy birthday! She is the best mom in the world! I know that growing up I was a girl with an attitude and I'm getting worried about what I have coming back to me. But really, I couldn't have had a better mother. She was always there when I needed her, and she still is. Even though she is 1000 miles away from me (or I'm 1000 miles away from her) I couldn't honestly say I have ever felt closer to her than now. I am sure there are days where she gets sick of my phone calls about nothing. And now that I am going to be a mother-I have a perfect person to look up to as an example. I know I have always said I will NEVER be like my mother...but I hope that I will be like her. I hope I will be 1/2 as good of a mother as she was to me. So, with that said- HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! HERE'S TO ANOTHER ** YEARS! I LOVE YOU!

Okay-so ever since we moved into our new ward at church(I say new, but we have been there since August-I'm not sure if that means we are still new or not) I have wanted to be a visiting teacher! I know people think I am not shy- but I really am. Until I get to know people-but I have a hard time going out by myself and meeting a bunch of new people. So, I figured that if I got a visiting teaching companion that would be a perfect opportunity to get to know more people! I have said to Jason over and over...man, I wish I could be a visiting teacher. Well, my prayers were answered. I am now a visiting teacher, and my companion is a really nice lady in the ward. Okay- now that I have been complaining so much- I REALLY need to get out and do it! I am really excited though! Wish me luck!
