Well, as you have probably noticed, it has been a while since I have posted! This time I not only have a good reason...but an EXCELLENT one. Jason, Addy and I went to Canada to see Gramma and Grampa Rechenmacher and our extended family! It was so much fun! It was great for Jason to finally be able to meet all my extended family, and of course for them all to meet Adalyn as well! Considering the fact that Addy met someone new almost EVERY day she did VERY well! She was fairly friendly I think! She wouldn't jump into peoples arms but I think I can guarantee that everyone who wanted a smile, got one! Adalyn was a crowd pleaser I think!
On the drive up to Canada...we weren't sure what to expect from Addy. Not only did we find out what to expect...we found out 1 hr from home. THROW UP! Nice. Yeah, it was great. Adalyn was not at that point used to being in her carseat for any length of time and boy was she mad! So mad, she made herself throw up. So...pull off to the side of the road and we had a nice mess to clean up! I guess you could say we got the worst of it over with at the beginning! The 2nd day of driving from Bozeman to Prince Albert was much better. She still had her moments but nothing compared to the first days drive!
The night we got to Prince Albert, the pool I worked at was having a reunion, so literally as we pulled into town it was starting, so we pulled right up! I got to see some old coworkers and my old bosses! It was great! Definitely a great way to start out being back home!
Day 2
On our 2nd day in Prince Albert, my Mom and Dad came into town from Candle Lake to pick stuff up for the party the next day(explanation of that to come) so we got to see them, then we headed out to Candle Lake to the cabin we were staying at with Mom and Dad, Mike, and Ben. We spent the day just relaxing mainly! That evening we took Adalyn to meet Auntie Mee-no, Auntie Jenn and their families! Adalyn was definitely shy at first but she found a friend in my cousin Tabitha. Peek-A-Boo was what kept her happy! Thanks Tabitha!
Day 3
On our 3rd day it was the party we had all been waiting for! Gramma and Grampa Button are 80! Woot woot! Party time! We were lucky to be able to have every child and grandchild of Gramma and Grampa there at the party! It was so much fun to be able to have everyone together and to have seen everyone who I haven't seen in so long!
Day 4
My sister Vanessa and her family came out to Candle Lake today! It was so fun to see them! Vanessa and Addy sure seemed to love each other! Vanessa was teaching Addy all sorts of cute things! Auntie Mee-no and Tabitha came for dinner to our cabin so it was nice to have all the people again!
Day 5
Jason, Adalyn and I went back into Prince Albert for the day and hung out with Jordan and Stephanie! It was great to see them! Just being able to talk and laugh with old friends is so great! We haven't seen each other in a couple years but its like we never skipped a beat! I love it! Addy loved playing in Jordans backyard!
My brother Mike also left from Candle Lake to go back home to Houston on this day! It was definitely sad to see him go! We definitely don't get to see as much of each other anymore as I would like, but it was great to spend the few days with him! I felt so bad that Adalyn was scared of him! I wanted so badly for her to love him to pieces...well...she did...from afar! PS-Note to Mike...whenever she sees your picture now, she gets a huge grin! I think she was just playing Hard to Get! haha!
Day 6
It was our last day at Candle Lake today! We went to the beach for one last time! It was a lot of fun! Adalyn definitely loves the water! That girl has no fear!
Days 7-11
On Day 7 we went back to Prince Albert to my Mom and Dad's house! We spent the next 4 days there! It was a lot of fun! Adalyn definitely loves their house! She played in the pool that Gramma bought for her and loved that! We went to Gramma Button's house to have dinner and we celebrated my birthday so that was fun!! We also went out with Jordan again on Saturday night! On Sunday, we went to church with Mom and Dad and that was great to see everyone there again! After church on Sunday, we went to Prince Albert National Park/Waskesiu! It was so nice to go up there! It is so beautiful! We drove around and saw the sights, then we stopped in and saw my friend's parents Debbie and Perry! After that, we went to a BEAUTIFUL picnic area and roasted hot dogs and had a great dinner! All in all it was a great day!
Monday Morning we had to say our sad goodbyes. It was a great trip and it was hard to say goodbye! Thank you Mom and Dad for everything you did for us while we were visiting! We all had a blast and we can't wait to come again!! We love you!! XOXOXO
