Those who know me well, know that I don't care that much about Halloween. For me, it all about Christmas! (I can hear my Christmas music in the background as I'm writing this). But this year Halloween was a lot of fun! Addy was totally thrilled about trick or treating! She was a cute little mermaid, we all loved it! She had so much fun and got a ton of candy for a little girl! She was shy when it came to actually SAYING "trick or treat" but somehow she still got candy! haha!

Deux Months
Taya is now 2 months old! Time is flying, but we are loving the ride with Taya. She has become so smiley in the last week or so. It takes almost no effort to get her to smile. She had her 2 month checkup yesterday and she did great! She weighed in a 12 lb 1 oz. and 24 inches long! She is in the 95th percentile for height(just like her sister was!) and the Dr is thrilled with how she is growing! She had her vaccinations and that was sad, but she was still a happy baby most of the day, so that was a blessing. We all love Taya. One of my favorite things is every morning when Addy wakes up, the first thing she says is "IS TAYA AWAKE?!" and when she is, she goes running to give her hugs and kisses. I love it!

Smiley Girl
Lately Taya has been so smiley, so I caught a couple of pictures this morning! My Mom gave her this Minnie Mouse jumpsuit and I just love it!

Canadian Thanksgiving, Eh!
**Long post ahead**
For Thanksgiving 2012, we had planned to go up to Canada to visit Gramma and Grampa Rechenmacher. Well, plans were changed last minute because I ended up having to have my gall bladder out, and my Dr. wouldn't approve a road trip as long as it is to Canada. I was so upset. Well my friends, for Thanksgiving 2013 we made it to Canada! Woohoo! We weren't exactly sure what to expect for an 18 hour road trip with a 3 year old and a 6 week old. Well, I don't think it could have gone any better. Addy did great! She didn't sleep for one minute on the way up to Canada. She played on the tablet, and talked...and talked...and talked some more. After a while the talking wore on us a little bit, but I would take that over screaming and crying any day! Taya slept basically the whole trip, except when she was hungry. It was awesome!
We got there on Saturday, October 12 about 5pm. Addy was so excited to see Gramma, she went running as soon as she saw her! When Grampa and Uncle Ben and Uncle Mike came outside, she wasn't so sure. However, it only took her about an hour to warm up to Grampa, and then she couldn't get enough of him. It took a couple of days for her to warm up to Uncle Ben, but she did! I wasn't sure if she would. She didn't warm up to Uncle Mike at all really...sigh. Poor Uncle Mike. He tries so hard, and she won't give him an inch! Someday she will realize he is a nice guy! After dinner, Gramma and Grampa Button came over and that was fun to have them see Addy again and to see Taya for the first time! After they left, my friends from high school Jordan and Steph came over to visit! It was awesome to see them too!
On Sunday, we went to church with Gramma and Grampa, and that was great! It was so good to see people who were also home for Thanksgiving who we haven't seen in years! That afternoon, my Uncle Murray, Auntie Lynn, cousin Meghan (who surprised us!) and cousin Matt and his girlfriend Chelsie and my Auntie Lynn's parents Don and Terry all came to my Mom's house. Jason hadn't met any of them before, so that was really fun for him. He really loved them. I hadn't seem them in about 10-ish years! It was so fun to see them!
On Monday, we went over to my friend Jordan's parents house. His Mom, Debbie really wanted to see Addy and Taya, so we spent the afternoon over at their house. It was so fun! Addy loved Debbie! We had a lot of fun over at their house.
On Tuesday, we went to my old boss' (from the pool) house, and we visited with her and her husband. That was really fun! From there we went and saw my Mom's work. That was fun to meet everyone she works with, so I can put faces to names now! After Mom's work, we went to Gramma Button's house for dinner. It was so good! Addy really loves Gramma Button!
On Wednesday, we went to lunch with my Mom, and did some shopping! It was a pretty relaxed day, which was nice. Spending quality Gramma time for the girls!
On Thursday, we went out to my sister Vanessa's house. She has a lot of horses at her house, and cats, dogs, and chickens. Addy was nervous around the animals, but when we left she was excited that she had seen all the animals! Vanessa got kicked by her horse about a week prior, and broke her arm, so Addy was a little bit nervous with her cast.
On Friday we went to Saskatoon to visit my Auntie Mee-no! She was excited to see Addy and Taya so that fun really fun. From there we went to see my friend Jordan's condo. That was fun too. Addy really warmed up to Jordan that time. She loved sitting beside him and playing with his puppy.
Saturday morning came, and it was time to head home! We drove to Great Falls, MT the first day. Then home the next day. The girls did really well again, it was a huge relief!
It was so nice to be able to be home for Thanksgiving, and to see family and friends. It had been over 2 years since I had been home, so it was good to be able to be home for a week! We are already looking forward to our trip there next summer! Candle Lake here we come!

1 month!
Well ladies and gentlemen, Taya has turned 1 month old! If you're thinking what I'm thinking, its "WHAT?! ALREADY?" Yeah. That's exactly what I'm thinking. It is fun to see how she is changing and becoming more aware of things around her. She has always been a very alert baby, even from the day she was born, but I feel like she is becoming more and more alert all the time. Addy has been having a lot of fun being her 2nd Mom. Sometimes it can be a challenge because she wants to be Taya's Mom, but, overall is has been good. Taya is a really good baby. As long as she isn't hungry or tired, you don't hear much of a peep out of her. However, with that said, the girl has a good pair of lungs on her and not much patience! Haha. When she is hungry, there is basically no warning, its "IM HUNGRY-FEED ME-NOW!" That's alright though, it makes things interesting haha. Sleeping could still use some improvement but it is coming slowly I think. Slowly but surely.
We are all loving having Taya in our family, she is a lot of fun, and has already taught me so much!

Gramma's visit!
Gramma Rechenmacher came to visit us for a couple of weeks, and we were so grateful! Addy was THRILLED to have someone to play with all day every day for 2 straight weeks. I was THRILLED to have someone to help with Taya while Jason was at work. My Mom is able to stay so calm about things when I'm not sure what to do, it helps a lot. It was so fun to have her here. We didn't go and do a whole lot while she was here like other times she is here. We ran errands and whatnot when we needed to, but we weren't sightseeing and doing that fun stuff. But I feel like it was still so fun to have my Mom here to play with the kids. We did go to Park City for one day and that was fun! We also had Taya's baby blessing last Sunday since my Mom was here. Jason did such a good job, it was a beautiful blessing.
Gramma had to fly home yesterday and none of us were excited about it. It was so nice to have her here, and I'm not going to lie, since she left, I have felt fairly overwhelmed adjusting to 2 kids on my own while Jason is at work. But, I know it will come with time. And before we know it, we will be on our big trip to visit my family in Canada, I can't wait for that!

She's Here!
Well everyone, we are pleased to announce, that on August 30, we gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, whom we named Taya Brynn. Jason, Addy and I are all in love. She is such a sweet baby and we feel so blessed to have her.
I ended up being induced due to a virus I had previously in pregnancy and it could have caused issues the longer she was in the womb, so after speaking with Maternal/Fetal medicine, our midwife decided she would go ahead and induce me. We went to the hospital in the early morning of Friday, August 30, After getting registered and in our labor and delivery room, they began the Pitocin at 8am. Being that I previously had a c-section with Addy, and we were attempting a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean), they had to begin the pitocin very slowly due to the risk (albeit very low risk) of a uterine rupture. I progressed very slowly at first, it almost seemed like even though I was having many contractions which were very painful, I wasn't progressing at all. Then at about 2pm, I was finally 5cm dilated. It was at this point, that I was able to get the epidural. Following that, they went ahead and broke my water. We were in this for the long haul now! Fast forward 4 hours--I was fully dilated and ready to start pushing!! Yay! With the help of my awesome midwife, Laura, I pushed for 2 hours. It was then that we decided it was best for us to use the forceps to get Baby Taya out, as I was not prog:ressing any further, and I was physically done. With the help of the on-call OBGYN, Taya was delivered at 8:22pm. She was 8 lb. 4 oz. and 21 1/2 inches long with tons of dark hair! Addy was born with a good amount of hair, and we thought this babies hair might be similar, but she has way more than Addy did, and it is dark dark brown.
Addy is loving being a big sister, she just loves Taya to pieces. It is adorable. She is basically a little mother. I just love it. I am loving my girls right now.
Jason has been so great since bringing Taya home. He has kept Addy occupied while letting me rest a lot, as well as keeping our house together and helping me with whatever I need. I indeed married a good man!
I am doing my best to not get overwhelmed (easier said than done sometimes) and enjoy this time I have with my family right now while I am off work. My Mom will be here on Tuesday, and I couldn't be more excited! It will be so fun to have her here. Addy is going to love having her here, she asks everyday about Gramma coming!
